A landscape designer, a pool builder, and their process
Pleased to meet you!

ORIGIN STORY
It all began when…
Brantley called Tommy to bring a load of dirt for a project. He said, “You know I can do more than deliver dirt. I can do anything.”
Half Moon Living was born.
Brantley sees it in her mind and draws it on paper. And Tommy’s never said no.
“We’re going to do it, or we’re going to get close.
We figure it out in a way that works–the right way.”
- Tommy, co-founder of Half Moon Living
Meet the team

Brantley Snipes
Co-Owner and Principal
Landscape Architect
Brantley Snipes is a landscape architect, horticulturist, and entrepreneur. With an art teacher mom and plant physiologist dad, Brantley’s love of nature and helping people learn what’s important is genetic. At the height of the recession when jobs were scarce, Brantley started Brantley Snipes Landscape & Design. She created beautiful, functional outdoor living designs, but saw her clients struggle to bring these to life. So, Brantley co-founded Half Moon Living, offering tailored outdoor living solutions, rooted in the Delta. Here, she brings her designs to life and makes the process delightful for her clients. Brantley loves learning how clients dream of spending time at home outdoors and creating spaces they love.
Brantley earned a Bachelor’s degree of Horticulture Design from Auburn University and dual Master’s degrees in Landscape Architecture and Horticultural Science from North Carolina State University. Brantley is a licensed landscape architect in Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, and Tennessee. She frequently contributes to publications, podcasts, garden clubs, and events.

Tommy Walton
Co-Owner, Principal
Contractor and Builder
Tommy Walton is a master builder, creative, and entrepreneur. What started as a way to earn money during college, turned into a life of being outdoors, building things, and quenching a voracious appetite for solving hard-to-solve problems. Because construction came so naturally to Tommy and he could see several steps ahead, he quickly climbed the ranks to foreman. He mastered not only carpentry, but also welding, fabrication, metal work, machines, and equipment operations. He co-founded a sand and gravel business that he ran for years and also worked on farms doing canal ditches and rain water reclamation. Tommy draws from all of this and his commercial experience–spanning stadiums to casinos–to bring his residential clients an uncommon level of detail and quality.
Outdoor living rooted in the Delta
Your outdoor space should reflect how you and your people want to spend time there. Our beliefs are rooted in our love of the Mississippi Delta and found in each
design and installation.

Hospitality is to the Delta like fried is to catfish
Hosting lets you share your life with others through a meal, a chat, or just enjoying the open air. We’ll craft a space that helps you take care of your guests your way.

Your outdoor space is an extension of your home
Your landscape, hardscape, pool, and every other feature of your outdoor living space should be a continuation of your own home and lifestyle–and as comfortable!

We need the outdoors the way cypress knees need cypress trees
Not only do we love the outdoors, we need it. We can’t wait to learn what you love most about time outdoors, so our design and implementation honor that.

Gathering with your people matters
One thing is clear. Having a space to gather with family, friends, or neighbors can have a huge impact on living the life you
want to live.

Our grit flows like the Mighty Mississippi
Southerners are no strangers to adversity, and that has made us hardworking, sharp, and resilient. We bring those traits to our outdoor living design and installation work.
DESIGN AND INSTALLATION PROCESS
Delta living. Done right.
We know what a challenge it can be to get the space you've dreamed of. That's why quality and delivering on our commitments have become our signatures. Here is the process we use to ensure that level of service with each project.

Landscape design
It starts with your unique requirements and wishes for your outdoor space.
We craft a custom design proposal featuring three design concepts.
You can pick the best of each of them, and we meld it together into one final design.
Installation
We create your custom project
plan prior to breaking ground.
We bring your design to life, staying aligned via touchpoints at key milestones along the way.
We’re done when the result is
more than you hoped for!

Get Started
Let’s make your little piece of the Delta look and feel like YOU!
Please tell us a little bit about you and your outdoor dreams, and we’ll be in touch.
Our service areas include Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Tennessee.
We are so excited you are here!
